04 – 06 Jul 2023 / Akaki Tsereteli State University, 59 Queen Street., Kutaisi, Georgia
Building upon the discoveries and knowledge gained from the previous two Caucasus Mountain Forums, the Scientific Steering Group of the Scientific Network for Caucasus Mountain Regions (SNC-mt) is set to organize the third installment of the Caucasus Mountain Forum (CMF) in 2023. This initiative aims to maintain the continuity of scientific collaboration and exchange, fostering a strong science-practice interface through regular dialogues.
CMF3, following the footsteps of CMF1 (2016) and CMF2 (2019), will serve as a significant platform for productive interaction among scientists, governmental experts, and practitioners. It will provide an opportunity for meaningful discussions on the various opportunities and challenges in the Caucasus region and contribute to enhanced coordination for sustainable development.
The upcoming CMF3, titled “Transdisciplinarity for Sustainable Tourism Development: Role of Caucasus Scientists,” will occur in Kutaisi, Georgia, from July 4 to July 6, 2023. While the primary focus will be on tourism, the forum will also delve into other key areas outlined in the Caucasus Regional Research Agenda (C-RRA), including climate change, biodiversity, forest resources, water resources, land use (including pasture management), natural hazards, population and cultural diversity, socio-economic development, and planning.
