Georgian honey has achieved remarkable success on the global stage, as “Honey from Ninotsminda-Alpida,” produced by the Koda agriculture cooperative, clinched the prestigious platinum medal at the London Honey Awards 2023. This highly acclaimed competition saw the participation of more than 250 honey producers, making the achievement all the more significant. Established in 2017 through the Agro-credit program, Koda agriculture cooperative was founded by four beekeepers and has grown to include 11 members, including four women, demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.
Koda agriculture cooperative has consistently prioritized quality and safety in its honey production. Since 2018, the cooperative has adhered to the rigorous HACCP standard, ensuring that their honey meets the stringent requirements of both Georgian and European quality standards.
